Enhancing the quality of life for residents
Our dedicated professionals care deeply about our residents, and their need for a comfortable and independent lifestyle. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff members have made it their life choice to provide personal service and quality care to those whom they consider to be part of their family.
Here are some of the people you’ll meet at Residence on the Thames.

“I am a long time resident of
Chatham, having attended St.
Joseph’s and CCI schools and
having worked in the nursing
department at St. Joseph’s
Hospital. I also have
experience in Long Term Care.
After completing my B.A. in
Social Sciences, at the
University of Windsor, I worked
as a Marketing Coordinator in
the Retirement Industry. For
the past five years, I was
Executive Director and Director
of Care for the Steeves and
Rozema Residence in Kingsville.
Most of my career entailed
working with seniors. I have a
compassion for the elderly. My
parents emigrated from Holland
with four young children and I
saw firsthand the sacrifices
they made for us to provide a
good home. It is now time for my
generation to say thank you by
providing the care and respect
owing to them. They sacrificed
much for us and asked for little
in return. The staff of
Residence on the Thames promise
to provide you with the highest
quality of care and integrity,
allowing you to continue your
independence and support in the
decisions you choose.” |

"I came to Residence on the Thames five years ago, and I believe in the importance of the well being of the elderly. I enjoy coming into work, knowing that the residents here are getting the care that they deserve. Our staff members are like family, and together, we work as a team to be the best we can be."

"I joined the Residence on the Thames “family” in 1989. I consider family values to be of utmost importance. As Food Services Supervisor, I take a great deal of pride in planning menus and cooking a variety of nutritious home-style meals to ensure the well being of each resident. In addition to great food, we always try to create a family atmosphere for our residents’ dining experience."

“The residents and staff here
are like family, which makes
coming to work rewarding. My
goal is to create activities
that are joyful and exciting for
our residents, whether we go
bowling at the Bowlerama or stay
at home and bowl with Nintendo
Wii. I look forward to our new
experiences together - shopping,
luncheon and picnic outings, and
concerts in the park. I am
delighted at the opportunity to
get to know our residents
better. It is amazing what you
can learn from them.”
